Well, I care...

We're all each just one blade of grass, but without all those blades, what would be?

I guess I don't count as someone whose mind you've changed, since that'll be like pushing at an open door.

But that doesn't mean that you haven't changed anything, or had an effect. You might not even realize it, but you must have, somewhere, sometime.

Look, there are very few of us who are going to change the world, at least, in our lifetime. But we're in good company there. Darwin was dead & gone before anyone took him really seriously, and Dickens was in the ground before his protestations about the lot of the poor were really acted upon. The point is though, that each of us can, and does, make a difference, even if we can't see it right now and right here.

Don't get glum about things, Minstrel. You are a good person. Don't let the bastards get you down...! Don't let them make you angry.

Things are often not as they seem to be. Don't give up.

Oh and when you're gone (which I hope won't be for a long, long time yet) - I'll remember you. You gave me a break when I first came here, and I'll certainly remember you for that kindness you showed me.

And, I'll remember you for your angry posts! (jk!).

But you won't be forgotten, I promise you.
