Yes, there will always be poverty

For if people can't find a job, they won't earn money and they will be poor.

Money is a way of managing the scarcity in society, if there was no scarcity you wouldn't need money. You could get rid of the concept all together.

The idea is that with applied technology we could elimate most jobs (there are places where we can see this happening.) And we could elimate scarcity thereby elimating the need for money or any type of bartering system. It would be an equal distribution of the world's resources to all the world's people.
