With the pot of paint a popular kid would laugh it off. The unpopular kid would be laughed at. A good teacher would be able to handle both situations with tact. I think the way you described how you would handle it would work wonders with the so called unpopular child. Children should be made aware of how to act when something bad like dropping a pot of paint happens. They will find out it's better to laugh at yourself then to pout. If you learn to laugh at yourself the other kids won't be as likely to tease you, because teasing you is boring. The teasers like a negative reaction. LITTLE GIRL LOVER
