I couldn't possibly have said this any better than you dide, Goethe, my friend. And yes, I do think it's ridiculous for 16-17 year old girls to be considered within the province of hebephiles. Hebephilia should be largely considered a physical, emotional, social, and spiritual preference for young adolescents, roughly in the age group of 12-15, or maybe a bit younger at times. And I totally agree that even young adolescents should be considered young adults and NOT "children" in the same sense that pre-pubescents are.
