Since people need to register and log in (and hence allow cookies), they cannot protect themselves with a proxy and their IP will be visible to anyone running that site. Thank you Captain Obvious. The same is true with regard to Voices of Alice forums. I also didn't demand that anyone register at LGH. I figure that Sancho and anyone else who read my recommendation is smart enough to make his or her own decision. Not to mention the fact that you went out of the way to mention your forum "barely has any rules". Which is why I have not linked there from GC. I know how much you love to fly down from the mountaintop and play GC cop. Clearly if I had any intention of linking there from here, I would have already done so. As cyber superheroes go, you're a little late to the scene. We will not allow you to link to that forum from GC. This issue is not debatable, so do not ignore this warning. If you link to this forum from GC again, you will be banned for it. You're confusing two different boards. I linked to LGH (via tinyurl), not to the board that I admin. Our boards are mutually friendly but they are two different boards hosted on different domains. |
