There are many non-MAAs out there who are fighting to change the current social structures and striving for a more egalitarian society. The current social norms and the institutions that support them are not guaranteed to exist for eternity. Once a large number of people embrace revolutionary change, and once youth liberation becomes popular and accepted as mainstream politics, then new social structures will begin emerging, and these new structures will be more amenable to alternative lifestyles and orientations that are not so easily assimilated into current structures. The very fact that GL (and BL), along with youth liberation, are so radical and present such a challenge to existing social institutions make it clear that major change is needed in society, and that one day these changes will occur.
