Also I am of the opinion that comparing the gradual acceptance of homosexuals, various non white ethnic groups, women etc. to a gradual acceptance of the pedo sexual community is primarily a false analogy. There is first of all the issue of differences in societies perception of consent and cognitive development between a minor/child and an adult that must first be dealt with before one can expect any societal acceptance of lg adult intimacy.

As opposed to all the very real historical arguments as to why Women and Coloreds were cognitively inferior and unable to give consent like "real" people.

It really hasn't been that long that consensus opinion among white males held that Coloreds and Women were "childlike" in the pejorative sense. Its only a sign of the strength and self-evidence of the arguments to the contrary that so many thinking people can be so ignorant of just how ingrained these prejudices were less than a century ago.

Treating children as people rather than as the defectives will become as self-evident to future generations as treating all other groups as people.
