I'm especially glad you're here, after reading of your coming to terms with who you are.

"ping" is not a pedo term, it is internet jargon predating the web, and derives from a ping sent out by SONAR.

The format at GC is similarly old-fashioned, but frankly I believe it is superior to modern forum software. We have discussed most everything before, but instead of posting to an old thread where your response might come five years after the most recent reply and the people who started the discussion are no longer paying attention, you can get a whole new discussion started that will be lively and timely and hopefully will include the evolved wisdom of the board.
