Most people don't just wake up one morning and say, "Ya know, I think I'm going to undergo great hardships and throw away my life in order to terrorize people I've never met."

No, most people - even dark-skinned ones - would rather enjoy good food and good fellowship and good fun, and if they turn to terrorism it is because they are denied the possibility of these things - not by chance but by choice - the choices of others. If it were a matter of simply not having their needs met, then Africa, India, and China would be the chief sources of terrorism. But there's something about being denied one's life by the conscious actions of others that tends to rile self-respecting people up.
