I do not like most religions due to the apparent manipulation of these religions to suit greedy ends-as Constantine used the Church of Rome to gain power over the pagans by uniting them under himself as its self proclaimed Pontifex Maximus. The earth was here long before the religions of the world-as was the cosmos all around us. I do see a connection between our gift of a level of intelligence capable of building civilizations and our corresponding gift to recognize a duty to use and share our gifts wisely-in harmony with need and nature. When one works in harmony with the giver of gifts' who requests that we do no harm one is paying such due homage when one who is then doing what he wills is living to benefit the civilization we are so gifted with.

Today, with the rift between factions of our world system of governmental mismanagement taking the ethical high road is not always easy-nor readily apparent. So we meditate before we act-especially knowing actions are causal of the actions of other. Nevertheless, within the limits of our abilities, which differ vastly, when we live our lives dedicated to willing ourselves to try to discern the responsible path and live as responsibly as we are able to reasonably do, as we walk along that path, we truly taste of the benefits of these gifts and see that the giver of the graces given us must also live and is good. The Hebrews recognized this when they wrote: "Taste and see that the eternal one is good." Psalms 34:8.

This is my homage to the cosmic oneness of the origin and purpetuator of our intelligence as opposed to using formal words of praise to specific deities. Blessed Be, Dissy.;)♥
