Yes, he is fantastic! I'm a huge fan of Metheny...
I have all his CD's and lot's of other "artefacts" from his productions, concerts, etc. But I have never seen/heard him perform live.

The musicians that impress me the most nowadays, are the younger jazz virituoso musicians of today. No music is more refreshing, than great music being played performed by young musicians, in my opinion.

And there are many fantastic female Asian musicians:
Hiromi Uehara, Akiko Tsuruga, Charice Pempengco and others.

Many years ago I met a musician that was semi-open about his hebephilia, he said that any girlfriend, or girl he dated, etc... had to be 16. Not more or not less. (I guess that's only because AOC was 16...)
