Cheerleading assassination sets a bad precedent.

Your post is a direct response to those who cheer it on with regard to their enemies, but prohibit you asking the same for yours.

If we want to gain traction in any movement, including removing the background conducive for Terrorism, then we need to ask for more transparency and to hope for a peace after the present bloodshed.

Cheering clandestine assassination doesn't accomplish this.

And doing so in one case sets the tone for doing so in others.

It seems the height of hypocrisy to say "good riddance" and salivate over bloodshed, only to complain about the tone of the Board when a poster responds in kind.

And we can say that GC's mission ends with our cause, and has nothing to do with how we expect others who are pilloried and accused to be treated. But our arguments about Civil Liberties in the past reveal that we don't believe it for a moment; and will never forget those who thought that their struggle for Civil Liberties exempted us.
