I watched the season premiere of HOUSE M.D. (Season 08, Episode 01.) I had so many flashbacks, it was surprising.

Some things I experienced were a bit different:

Isolation is not that dark.

Power groups were not that prevalent but did exist as depicted.

"Pill Line" was behind a very small window (to protect the nurses.)

For ME, I never got short timer's troubles. I never heard of it. Someone asked me for my TV but I told them I promised it to my Mom. (I mailed it!)

The "state-struck" head doctor was accurate, but the female doctor (good looking!) would have never been there. Most doctors for prisons are AMA rejects or close to rejects. Most nurses were female and almost obese.

We were never given more time unless via the court system. We DID lose (and I lost) good conduct time.

Yeah, and as I write this, I get flashbacks again. Wow.
