I see logic as derived from God because it is ultimately arbitrary and non-empirical. Like mathematics.
Well, you're in a quandary, aren't you? You're now left having to prove that logic comes from God. Good luck selling that to anyone who doesn't already believe in that big, bad being in the sky. Of course logic is non-empirical (though hardly arbitrary--I think the word you're looking for is 'self-contained'). Anyway, explain to me how these qualities of "arbitrary" and "non-empirical" demonstrate that logic is derived from God. And does this mean that things which are empirical do not come from God? You're just making shit up as you go along, it seems to me.
No, most atheists (and most of the religious, I will admit) see godly attributes, such as omnipotence is, in a parochial way. It makes for a cool Jim Carrey movie, but not for good theology.
Of course, writings like the Bible, where God is intentionally portrayed as whimsical as a Dilbert boss, feed into that.
God is not a Dilbert boss.
Parochial according to whom? You? If God does not obey the rules of logic or empiricism, then he and his works cannot be measured or observed in a scientific way. That being the case, you cannot make any argument for him which ultimately does not stem from faith alone. That's the point I'm getting round to. If I have to listen to another theist try to tell me otherwise I'm gonna puke. There is no empirical or logical evidence for God; there is only your beliefs (and perhaps your internal experiences)--thus I am justified in claiming there is no evidence for God to be found in this world.
