I am not paid to be a cop, and I doubt that you are, either. Setting the people to snoop and snitch on one another is a giant step towards totalitarianism.

Next will come the rationalization that "such a crime harms us all".
What next? What excuse will they use next time to get the people to mistrust one another, instead of mistrusting the government minions whose only real agenda is budget increases and empire-building? NO, not on my tax money.
The powers-that-be cannot find work for the people, but they can find such lame make-work excuses for law enforcement? Hah!
