Different people should not die like this

I have never been depressed like this. I've been sad but I've had reason to be: the death of my son, the death of my friend, etc.

Yes, I have been suicidal before but it was not an emotional choice but a logical one. I wanted to stop what I was doing and could find no other way. (In case you were wondering, no, I was not successful in my attempt to take my life.)

But, I know people who have fought a very very difficult battle with depression. I feel for them. I hurt for them. I want so much to take away their pain, but it is not theoretically possible.

So long as I am breathing, I can live. It may not be fun, but it's what life is all about. Experiencing existence.

I think; therefore, I am. I want to keep it that way for as long as I possibly can.

Suicide is the second-leading cause of death for Canadians between the ages of 10 and 24 and disproportionately affects gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth. What about transgeneration? Hmmm.
