In the press was a minister who's house was staked out for like 24 hours. police surrounded his house but no one was in it. He saw them as he was coming home and decided coming home wasn't a great idea. There was a mob of police that went to arrest the prosecutor who shot himself in the To Catch A Predator sting. Although I've never seen a report of violent resistance the police seem to regularly behave as if violent resistance will be encountered.
