While it's difficult to say any article about child abuse is a "good" article, it is informative and supports what I pretty much already knew. People like Neutrino seem to think real child abuse just doesn't happen here and thus any gov't intervention in the lives of sovereign parents is unwarranted. I know better. The gov't has a tough job making these kinds of calls, and they don't always get it right (either they overstep their bounds or they fail to intervene when they should), and they get complaints from both ends. I think they generally do the best they can when it comes to this kind of abuse. I doubt there are many people in this field who go out to deliberately break up families; that's a ridiculous assumption.
