No, it doesn't. The law (and the article) distinguishes between rape (which he plead guilty to) and forcible rape. Forcible rape is the worst kind; it carries a life sentence. He plea bargained those charges away by confessing to the "lesser" crimes of rape without force (which doesn't mean the sex was consensual--it just means he didn't hold her down or use violence against her, although he probably did in some cases.)
