Classroom GM (3rd grade!)

My job puts me in the educational system working in classrooms as an educator. My specific job gives me a lot of off time in the class and often the girls (students in general actually) come up and talk to me. I have notebook with me for writing and drawing. I like to doodle/write in it when I'm bored. Sometimes I make stories up or other times I write something I've learned or want to remember. What caught the eye of a cute little girl in the class was my little doodles.

I was done working with the teacher on something and sat down to do some writing. While I flipped through the pages some of my drawing must have caught her eye. This girl has dirty blonde hair and green eyes. Her hair is of medium length and she really looks super cute. She is a third grader. She looks up at me and says, "are those drawings?" The teacher kind of stopped her and said, "Now N don't bother him now." Of course I responded, "No it is okay it'd be cool if I could show her. The drawings are fine." I meant not violent or anything.

So N gets real close with her cheek on my shoulder. I go through my drawings and explain what kind of person or creature they are. I give her some detail on their backgrounds if they have any. She seemed to like the sword wielding princess the best. "I want to be a princess who can fight and doesn't need a boy to help her!" My heart instantly melted! "Of course you can be a strong girl!" I responded.

Too soon it was time for the students to go back to work. Great moment that brightened my day!
