church Halloween party

Yes, my church does Halloween parties. It's not one of those crazy lunatic churches that carry on about Halloween being "satanic" and all that.

Anyway, the party was last night, and a lot of fun. Started with dinner, mostly chili, corn bread, and the like, and then proceeded on to the party proper. Pumpkin carving contest, games--it sure is fun watching LGs bob for apples!--a costume competition, and handing out lots of candy. (Hey, the one time they don't mind a known pedophile giving candy to children! lol)

The kids, naturally, were adorable. Little girls dressed up as everything from ladybugs, to princesses, to witches. For the most part they stuck to gender-traditional costumes, but one girl wore a Spiderman suit! (Spidergirl?) Unfortunately, there were no Hit Girl costumes.

Lots of fun! :-D
