It's not sustainable

Whether or not pedophilia is ever accepted, before long this generation will pass the baton to the next one, and people will realize the futility of being overprotective. Or they'll just get tired of it, especially after they realize that no matter how much effort they put into preventing them, bad things will happen anyway. But the children will survive and thrive all the same, and they will want more freedom.

Don't know if it's just nostalgia, but it does seem to me that we had more freedom when I was a child.
