I don't recall what I seen as your avatar on DU, but I have read some stuff from you over there.. I also have read the "atheism" threads? that are there, it's been a long time so don't recall what's there.

I do wanna become a member there, just when I have time. But I'm also wondering if I should reg a non-ped nick, for say non on-topic threads or could I reg the one that I use in e-mail?

By all means, register, but keep in mind that their tolerance for GL-related stuff is limited. I try not to get into it too much, unless there's an issue or story that's widespread in the media.

I don't remember it anymore. I used to have the link saved, but I had to go through and clean my links because I just had too many of them. In fact, my bookmarks are about due for another cleaning. I will see if I can find the site, but I do believe I have all of the images saved somewhere if it comes to that.

.. when I first saw it, I thought it was in reference to the book 1984, as in George Orwell's ideals.. ah well.. that's what I first thought though.

Well, yeah, it's that too. It wasn't a direct reference to the Bush years, but I created it out of frustration with Bush, who I saw as increasingly Orwellian with his lies about the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, etc. Where were all these outspoken 'keep government out of our lives' libertarians when Bush was in office? Nowhere to be found. Hmmmm . . .
