It's also about the context.

Whatever justification there could be for spanking (which I don't really think there is), Baldur is right in that at least it has to be shown by the parent that it is a tool to a desired outcome. Not an autonomous thing.

In the video I plainly see beating for pleasure. I could next watch one of those videos of gangsters beating homeless guys and not be able to tell the difference. Someone should even do this proposed remix.

The mainstream has to face it: he was getting off on beating her. The pretext, while valid there, is probably still irrelevant to him; if he had to make one up he would have.
