I am probably exaggerating with the 99% figure; but I really think it's a lot of people.

It doesn't matter (to me) if you don't "look" moved. I rarely look moved. I learned to not express, or not openly, a lot of things (whether that is for better or worse, is a good point, but not the discussion here), and I learned it young; and I don't find it easy to change it, nor so rewarding that the effort would be worth it. So it probably won't ever change.

And yet, even without looking moved, I know what I am doing to "be part of the solution" about the injustices that bother me, many of which are only related to paeds or to children tangentially by the common thread that "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" but not otherwise.

I sincerely cannot say the same thing for the majority of people. Anyone can be outraged at an internet video: of a girl being beaten or of anything else that appeals to a sense of fair and foul. "99%" will have forgotten in a week and not do anything to transform that video from an evidence of everyday life into something akin to footage of the Nazis.

I don't know, I might be asking too much from everyone; but that means to me that they don't really care.

And no, praying to God or Government to do something does not count as doing something.
