He was told by an assistant that Sandusky had been found in the showers, doing a ten-year-old boy in the butt.

Paterno reported it to the Penn State president a day later, and washed his hands of the affair.

Sandusky left PSU in 1999, yet kept an office at the school and brought young boys from the "child-help" charity he founded.

When PSU officials head the news, they went into damage-control mode, more concerned with protecting the brand image than with helping abused kids.

Remember, Sandusky had been accused of the same thing in 1988, yet the charges were dropped, even after Sandusky admitted it to the boy's mother and apologized, with police officers listening in another room.

Paterno never once asked "Why is this guy still here; we got rid of him years ago".

PSU told Sandusky not to bring any more boys from the charity onto campus: in other words "Screw them somewhere else".
