Sandusky was a scumbag. I'm with you on that. It's a very rare 10-year-old who would want a dick up their ass, I don't care what the BLers say. They're biased as hell anyway. Should Paterno have reported the rape to the cops? Yeah, I think so. But in his situation I might've done the same thing he did; it would've been extremely problematic for the university to report that boys were being raped on their campus. That's still the case; all they did was delay the inevitable, I guess. The best way to handle that situation would've been to get a few of the linebackers together as soon as the rumors started, march them into Sandusky's office and have a little "talk" with him. He would've kept his mouth shut and the abuse would've stopped, at least on school grounds. But I think it's wrong to force Paterno out because he failed to contact the cops. Informant laws and codes are a little too Nazi-esque for my taste. It might've been a moral failing on Paterno's part, but he shouldn't have lost his job over it.
