The point is, we are living in Animal Farm. From man to pig, from pig to man, you can't tell them apart.
From the outside, can you tell about ANY case whether it was consensual or abusive? I really can't.
(There are some cases where I have no doubt they were abusive and the story is at least very close to what is told; eg, Jaycee Dugard. Yet I gather the abuse from the circumstantial evidence a lot more than from the police's, media's or even victim's stories themselves... Essentially, I do not think the stories would change one iota if the case had been fully consensual - but I think that the circumstantial evidence would be very different)
So, let's suppose this case is 100% on the abusive end, for argument's sake. Now, can anyone point out to me what would be told differently if it was consensual? It matters because in the case of Jaycee Dugard, there is plenty physical evidence. Here, it is all victim and witness accounts. Oops!
