Three Big Holdouts

There are three big holdouts in the entertainment world when it comes to accepting and welcoming gays and lesbians, including gay and lesbian youth. When these three holdouts break down their barriers, as Germany did the hated Wall, then I will think we have made real sexual progress in this world. Though, of course, much more will still need to be done, especially the ultimate tearing down of a barrier: the acceptance of Child Love, Minor Attracted Adults (MAA) and their young lovers. But for now that really is asking too much.

Here are the holdouts that need to grow up in this 21st century world:

1. Country Music. A perfect example of this holdout is Chely Wright. Chely came out of the closet some time back as a lesbian, yet country music has yet to honor her courage by welcoming her at a major country music event, e.g., this years CMA Awards.

2. Nickelodeon.

3. Disney.

When I see open, out, and proud gay and lesbian youth on shows like "Shake It Up", "A.N.T. Farm", "Big Time Rush", "Jessie", "iCarly", "Victorious", then I will be smiling proudly.
