Innocent until proven guilty

Is not what you think it is. For many, it means that you are treated innocent until your are proven guilty, which we all know is not true. They can hold you in jail, charge you, and run your name and picture in the paper, news, internet etc and drag your name through the mud, without a shred of evidence against you, all they need is one word of allegations against you, this is hardly treating somebody innocent. What this term means, is that the judge has not rendered you guilty yet, therefore, your "presumed" innocent, in a court of law, and based on the evidence of the case against you, it is the prosecution's job to prove that you are guilty of the crime in which you have been charged with. Until then, you are held as a prisoner, and will be treated as such, until you have been cleared of all wrongdoing in the court of law, but they can treat you like your guilty all they want.
