Lying Or Abusing Kids?

First of all why he even bothered to talk to the press directly is a puzzle. I get that he's a high profile figure but any attorney worth his salt should have told him to keep his mouth shut. How many people outside of the college football circuit had even heard the name Jerry Sandusky before this month? I hadn't and I'm a casual college football fan!

Secondly, what are you getting at, AK? Are we trying to put forth that a pedophile, a clinical pedophile attracted to boys, would never cross the line in this fashion? Since when? While there may not be many actual child lovers on the sex offender registry, the numbers are just too great to completely preclude the notion that there are some who did in fact cross the line. Sandusky had an element of power to him, and it's quite possible he abused that power to fulfill a desire. It happens. The bottom line, however, is it would be foolish to admit to Bob Costas that he is in fact a pedophile. It would immediately discredit anything else he said.

What I'm saying is it's entirely possible he lied about being a pedophile and abused his power to fulfill a desire.
