Um, Neutie, strongly authoritarian teachers are the problem, not the solution. They are the main reasons why education in our current schooling system is not seen as fun by kids, and why younger people resist learning under such conditions, and why they find it so hard to respect teachers; the latter aren't required to respect them, and routinely treat them like fodder. Strong authoritarianism is inimical to a democratic system, and it's the main thing that causes students like Jules to act out in such a manner. But you're right, he shouldn't have to be in a classroom if he doesn't want to be.
