I think a further avenue not being discussed is the prohibition of homosexuality in football culture in addition to the notion of asexuality in boys. First of all, can you name an openly gay NFL player? I can't. Does that mean there's not one out there? Of course not. Homosexuality is anathema to football culture, and the Sandusky case will just reaffirm the bigoted notion that homosexual males are also pederasts. This is partly what I meant by long reaching effects. (For the record, I am not a pederast or BL. I am a non-exclusive hebephile.)
