Yes, well said. In danger, kids too must be saved for evolutionary ends. Your argument is corect. It's also confirmed by the instinctive response of kids to affection by an adult. While adults may question an adult giving affection or attention to a child, I have never once had a child receiving my attention find it unusual or question it.
