I saw this today and the way that scene executed is being blown way out of proportion. It kind of makes sense in context of the rest of the story, but the execution is so ham fisted and cheesy, much like the rest of the film.

Ugh, 117 minutes and every scene takes FOREVER to get to the damned point.
