It is an obvious reference to the use to exhaustion of that phrase in connection to anything related to some Muslim practice or custom being practiced in the USA, particularly by immigrants from Muslim countries.

Personally, such overuse only made me realize how much in common Islam and Protestant Christianity have. Both for positive and negative reasons.

Of course, as we discussed already, this is the American version of Middle Eastern and Nigerian "Honor Killings".
