Then I must have been horribly traumatized. Apparently when I was five or six, I let it slip to my mom that I'd been playing doctor with this boy two years older than me. She came in and gave the daycare a tongue lashing for not watching us better, but that's where it ended. This is just stupid.

And would this kid end up on one of the juvenile sex offender registries that some states are trying to push through? It's no wonder the parents felt compelled by that DA. I can just imagine.

"You know your son could get in a lot of trouble. Juvenile detention and treatment, maybe years. Terrible things happen there, you know? And he could end up on a registry. Do you really want that for your son? Why don't you just plead out? Save your son all that trouble."

And I'm sure all this fuss has really confused the girl. I know I was as often the aggressor as the agreeing party in "playing doctor" as a kid. As an adult, I ended up being screwed up by some other sexuality stuff from when I was a kid, but this one would have done a number on me.
