I was on my way home after a long day in the late evening. When I heard a bunch of young women whooping and carrying on.

As I turned down the side street, it became apparent that they were ahead of me in the dark. Eventually I saw a cluster of some 8 or so college aged lasses dressed in variations on the classic "little black dress," heading by me for a night on the town.

I kept to the right to let them pass. But a couple of the gals who were arm-in-arm decided to play Red Rover ⚠️ ↗ with me. An auburn haired miss slipped her hand behind my neck and asked me to join them while trying to spin me around. Her friend apologized profusely for her high spirits as they passed.

Now, while I'm sure I'd feel differently if I was either at their destination when they were carousing, or was their sleeping neighbor when they got back after "last call;" I was amused by the small bit of attention, while knowing full well that had the streetlights been better placed, they might not have given me a passing glance.

Now if only the Twihards camped out later in the week as I passed payed me some attention.... :)
