I'm very pleased to hear that the Gaede twins have broken from their narrow-minded White Nationalist ideology and have embraced an appreciation for the great diversity of cultures and people that our world has to offer.

I must say that hearing about their health problems, which I was not aware of until now, really broke my heart terribly. Cancer is a horrible disease to deal with, especially at such a young age, and its treatment tends to be as painful as the disease itself; chronic back pain can be extremely debilitating; and something called "cyclic vomiting syndrome" sounds truly nightmarish to deal with (spoken from a person who hates when I have to vomit even on the rare occasions that the ordinary person does; I can't begin to imagine having a medical condition that caused me to do it at frequent intervals). I really wish there was something I could to do help the Gaede twins in their health travails, as I feel so bad about this, even though I know that they are tough chicks who can handle whatever life throws at them.

Nevertheless, it's good to see that they are now supporting legalized marijuana usage, at least for medicinal purposes, and do not look favorably on the destructive "War On Drugs" too many nations in the world are carrying out.

And perhaps most importantly, their story sends a major wake-up call to anyone who does not support the basic tenets of youth liberation: It's very likely they never would have developed their White Nationalist views and retained them throughout their "underage" teen years if their parents--in this case, their mother--didn't have near-total control over their lives and thoughts, and they had the right to seek out alternative views without being forbidden from doing so during their formative years. It's to their credit that they overcame so many years of coached indoctrination after they became legal adults, because many people never shed the ideological indoctrination they were helpless to avoid receiving by their esteemed owners during the formative years of their lives. This is why it's extremely silly for people to argue that youth oppression isn't really a form of oppression because it's only temporary; it's highly important to have these rights when you are in your formative years, including your early teen years.
