I do believe that many pedophiles act admirably towards children and its sad that they are stigmatized when they haven't done anything wrong.
You said that that you think many creepy pedophiles behaviors are inspired by their discrimination because they cannot satisfy their sexual and/or romantic desires in positive and ethical ways. But what are the ethical and positive ways that you would be able be able to express your desires around children, without it being creepy, that you can't already do?
I mean you can't exactly be open about it but you can love and spend time with children in a positive manner. Any of the creepy behaviors probably wouldn't be appropriate. There is no ethical alternative. You either act ethically in a non-creepy manner or non-ethically in a creepy manner.
Even if you were open about it with other people you still can't do anything with a child past what you would be able to do ethically. If anything telling someone that you love and are attracted to children will just make them more aware of that and have them pull you further away from children in your life, even if they accept your attraction.
It's a lose lose situation. It would be better if people were not stigmatized as monsters just for being a pedophile and based on their actions. People are very fearful though and it is unlikely to ever happen.
This post is really thought-provoking, it's to bad something like this can't be directed to more non-pedophile people, how they would respond if they would look past their own ideas of what a pedophile is. Really awesome post.
