The fact that they would need someone telling them if a relationship is good for them or not kind of points out that they aren't mature and old enough to make good decisions on their own

nah, nah, I put emphasis help them, not tell them. I don't mean to be technical with semantics, but I was thinkiing help them, just like older people might help with with other aspects of their life.
