R.I.P Anne McCaffrey

She was one of my favorite Sci-Fi novel writers. I loved her books, Dragon Riders of Pern, The Rowan, Damia, Damia's children etc.. I liked The Rowan. The Rowan was about this telepathic little girl named Angharad Gwyn. She is the Rowan. She was one of the most powerful of the telepaths. She had a many friends. There was one passage in the Rowan book where she had intimate relations with a 45 year old man, about 17ish. Her best friend was Afra Lyon. He was older than her, and he loved her. However, he couldn't have her. The Rowan gave birth to her daughter, Damia. Afra fell in love with Damia the moment she was born. He later married Damia. The Rowan was upset for a little while, but then she finally accepted the fact (I wish the real world was like that!! Damn!). Afra and Damia had many children. Anyway, my reason for bringing this story up was, Anne's books seemed open minded, and not ashamed, with the fact that MUCH older men, can have happiness with much younger women. I liked Anne's attitude with girl love. I don't think Anne was bothered, or disturbed if an older man, liked young girls (or even younger). Anne will be missed. I hope her family will keep her attitude, that age is just a number. Any body read her books? I will try to find more of them, if I have the time.
