Relationships with adults

I was just wondering how people handle getting into relationships with other adults? Or if some people opt to not have relationships with adults at all.

It's just I'm not really interested in a relationship with anybody my age, at least not right now. I love closeness and intimacy but I can't really find anyone who fits that. I've been asked out on three seperate occasions in the last couple months and each time I've felt so awkward, saying I wasn't really looking for a relationship.

It's not that I'm never attracted to adults but I've only had a couple relationships and I just haven't been attracted to anybody since. If I ever do think of relationships the only people I could see myself dating are the type of people I dated before (which probably isn't the best choice... but that's a whole other issue...) or LG's.

I was just wondering how other people start doing this or if it's worth the trouble. I've just been thinking about it because my friend commented that she's never actually seen me with a boyfriend, and I've never brought anyone home to my parents before... It just seems like a lot of work for something I really don't care that much about.
