I'm not Muslim, but I think the tone of the Qur'an is not specifically against intergenerational relationships, and I'm sure that there are stories of intergenerational relationships, as there are in the Bible, which are probably ignored my pretty much all Muslims.

I haven't yet read the Qur'an, though.

I've heard of the story of Muhammad marrying a child (I think I heard he married her when she was twelve though), but I think that's up to interpretation. Naturally, I first heard about this as a reason Islam is evil. However, in high school, I got the chance to take a religions class (it was general, about the most practised religions, it wasn't a Christian theology class), and a Muslim woman came in to talk to the class (she had a significant position in the Muslim community), and she talked about this allegation. According to her, the chronology in the relevant passage was misinterpreted by anti-Islams, and the girl was not twelve, but the marriage occurred twelve years after a significant epoch, so it said something like "in the twelfth year", and was (according to her) referring to a time since an epoch, and not in *her* twelfth year.

Although, as with all religions, the Qur'an is only used as a moral guideline when it already describes the interpreters morality.
