Frankly, I would answer that question with an extremely anti opinion; properly sourced with quotes and links to anti sites and books. I would not write sarcastically, but completely neutrally and seriously. The attempt is to make Mom react protectively in a "keep my hands off my kid" manner when you tell her in all seriousness that she should surrender her to the state so she can be locked up and registered as the SO she is.

Of course, it can go wrong. She might actually do it.
