Not all rules are created equal. Rule #3 allows us to step in before things get out of control and even issue a temporary ban to allow tempers to cool off. However, unless a poster repeatedly violates this rule or is an obvious troll, we are not in any hurry to issue a permanent ban.

If you will just remember to take a moment to pause and reconsider every time you hit the "post" button, and are willing to talk to us civilly if we come into conflict, I think you'll do just fine.
