I think you said it here, but it's probably the #1 insight into understanding any kind of youth behavior, period - kids will emulate what they see, if it appeals to them and seems to have a positive effect.
This is how young people have learned the kinds of skills they need to survive in the world since the start of the human race. Change the word "people" in that last sentence to "mammals" and it'll hold true for lots of other species, too.
Social skills are also a part of survival, and these get observed an emulated, too. And that's what's happening in these videos.
If the adults want to consume this culture, they have to accept that their kids will do so as well. In general I think it makes more sense to ask the question "is X good for humans?" rather than asking separately, "is X good for adults? is X good for children?" You can't have your cake and not feed it to your kids too.
