It was on a "real life cop" show where a state trooper (I think) pulled over an old lady who got chatty with him. He walked from his car in a big chest puffed storm, booming, "I'M IN COMMAND HERE!"

I have always had a problem with authority figures of any type, starting with my Dad and working up to cops and then prison guards.

On day, in prison, I walked up to an prison officer and I demanded to see the "Watch Commander" (the security boss above all the officers) only to be told that I would have to wait. I demanded again. Then I stepped towards the officer who promptly drew his nightstick to use against me. I took if from him. The change in his face from "I'M IN COMMAND HERE" looks to "Oh, shit..." caused me to laugh at him. He took my laugh to be friendly and he smiled at me. He held out his hand, still smiling. I could not bring myself to let his superiors know that I disarmed him.

I said, "Take me in there, tell them anything you want. Agree and I'll hand this back to you."

He nodded. I gave it to him and he grabbed it tightly.

I warned, "I'll take it from you again but this time I'll beat the hell out of you."

He holstered it and walked with me to the Watch Commander's office.

I don't remember what I did there, but the confrontation with the CO has stuck in my memory. I actually laughed at his change in facial expression.

Yeah, I hate cops.

And most prison guards (CO's).

Actually, I hate anyone who displays excessive force when not necessary.

Regarding this post and every post I write about myself describing my past, be advised that I was tried, convicted, sentenced to a very long time in prison, and I served the complete sentence. Be further advised that I am no longer practicing illegal activities today and that I refrain from doing so by my own choice, not from fear of legal entanglements or society's outrage. I remain crime free because I choose to.
