The "old" GC? There has been just one GC for the past 11 years that I'm aware of, and I have been friends with you now for, what, at least 2 years? That's a fairly long time to have a friend :-) Then again, I know we don't much like the world "old around here, right? ;-)

I think the less bad apples this or any MAA board is palatable to, the better a board it will be in the long run. These public boards are the face we present to the public online, after all.
