I can't say for certain how much the pedo hysteria is to blame for this little girl's death. It certainly didn't help anything. But to commit a crime like this you have to be a psychopath. Even if there was no pedo hysteria, there is a good chance he still would have committed this crime. It's a good thing he was caught otherwise he was likely to kill again.
